This page gives you some further information on the venue and what you can expect.
Our wedding will be held at Pirin Golf & Country Club very close to Bansko, Bulgaria. Pirin Golf is a complex that includes the Hotel, the Spa Centre, quite a lot of apartments and Villas, a golf course, practice facilities, and several bars and restaurants.
It's nice.
Have a look at their website here if you like.
The Wedding Ceremony will be held outside in the open air, on grass, and though the weather in the latter part of September is usually very nice indeed, please keep your fingers crossed for sunshine!
The complex has quite a few categories of accomodation, from rooms in the actual hotel, to apartments in the 'downtown' area close by. We have stayed in several different apartments, and they were great. A studio is fine for 1 or 2 people. See the dedicated page for more on booking rooms.
Our wedding ceremony will be on Saturday September 27th at 4pm.
We are advising most people who travel to arrive on the Thursday or Friday, and leave a day or two after the ceremony. We are making a weekend of it and are planning things to do on both the Friday before and Sunday afterwards.
Flights on Thursday and Monday would be ideal.
There's quite an extensive spa area with an indoor pool, several outdoor pools, a sauna, steam room, and treatments available for the adventurous! It's just around the corner from the hotel, or connected to it as well if you're staying there!
There's also a hairdresser on site. Contact Diane if you want to use her.
There's a decent golf course, and for those that want to there will be an opportunity to play a round. Probably on Friday. Of course you can bring your own clubs, but they do have sets for hire (and I have a spare set too).
A full round is 135 BGN (£58), clubs 60 BGN (£25), and a pull trolley 20 BGN (£8.60) Full pricing here.
We'll likely be arranging some 'fun golf try it and see' bits and bobs for (mostly) non-golfers if people want to have a go on one of the days.
There is a buffet-style restaurant in the hotel itself, and another sort-of Asian style restaurant. Within the complex downtown area there's a Pub with a decent menu, including the best Pizza in the world! You'll also find an Italian, and a Greek restaurant there too. The hotel obviously has a bar, so does the Pub, and there's one other bar in the downtown. And of course the golf clubhouse balcony in nice for a drink too!
This is the area closest to the hotel, with a couple of restaurants and shops.
This is the double pool area where we may spend some time.
Another kiddie area where hey can play ball games, or maybe we all can?
