Most younger Bulgarians speak some English, and we'll be at a resort so everyone there will do. Mostly. You'll be fine.
The currency in Bulgaria is the Leva, also known as BGN. It's pegged to the Euro at 1.958 and trades at about 100 BGN for £43 at the moment.
Most shops and restaurants take card payments, but there are a few that still don't. Inside the Pirin Golf Complex cards will be fine everywhere, though there is also an ATM onsite if you do need cash.
Tipping is not expected but is appreciated.
You will need to budget some money for lunch and dinner on Friday and Sunday.
You could, after all you've made an effort to come here! Bansko itself is a nice small town, and worth a visit for a couple of days if you wish. Sofia has lots to see and do as well.
